Sunset + Vine is a favourite meeting place for my friend and I. The food and service is consistently excellent, with the specials catching our attention this time. As usual, we found them to be delicious with an exceptional balance of flavours. These dishes are clearly made with love and a passion for fresh, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food. This truly is a hidden gem with a magnificent, peaceful view. Keep on driving up that hill past B Farm!!! Try to cocktails too!! They are fantastic!

So pleased we found this gem of a vineyard on the way back to Newcastle from Nelson Bay. We are so lucky to have our Hunter Valley Vineyards and Wonganella Estate certainly holds it own in comparison for wine, food, ambience, customer service and location. The owner is friendly and genuine with wanting to provide the best experience possible. We visited on a Saturday around opening at 11am. The weather was cold and pouring with rain but the restaurant area was warm and inviting. Even the outdoor balcony area can be utilised as there is secure enclosed areas to enjoy the views. Highly recommend this vineyard for both the wines and the tapas morrocan style food on offer.

A Hidden Gem With an Unforgettable Dinner Experience From the outside, the place seemed quite unassuming—but the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with a stunning view of the valley that set the tone for a beautiful evening. The staff were warm, friendly, and made us feel right at home. Now, the food—absolutely incredible. Truly the best meal I’ve had at a restaurant in years. Every dish was packed with flavour, clearly made with care and attention to detail. They also had plenty of gluten-free options, which was a huge plus and made choosing even easier. The wine, from the vineyard itself, was excellent and very reasonably priced. My partner and I left feeling completely satisfied and already talking about when we’ll be back. Highly recommend this spot if you’re after a memorable dining experience in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

What a hidden gem!! Wine tasting, cheese platters, tapas food AMAZING! I don't think I've ever found a food menu where I would order every single thing. We are coming back 100%!

Gorgeous space among the trees, glimpses of the river and peaceful setting. Its a family setup and the gentleman provided very attentive service. Im rather finicky about Mediterranean foods but the flavours were fabulous. The best was last - the desserts were as good as any in the fanciest city restaurants! All up, an unsuspecting gem that you really should try out!

Absolutely delicious food with lovely owners~ I hate the term hidden gem that gets thrown around in the Sydney CBD, but this place is actually hidden away from the bustle of the city. Started with the salmon crudo, cured in beetroot, and it had a great bite to it. If I had it, I would totally eat this with a lightly toasted sourdough as an afternoon snack. The secret family recipe chicken liver topped with wine jelly was so light that I could have ate it by the spoonful bought some to take home Lamb meatballs were SOOO tender, my mother in law's favourite! The cauliflower had a slight crunch topped with dukkah making them addictive and came in such a generous serving! The creamy coriander hommus was dreamy goodness~ The top tier dish, which made me choose this place, is the duck baklava! Stuffed with shredded duck, the light sweetness of the baklava filo pastry cuts into the fattiness of the duck. Absolutely divine Would love to come back, perhaps for a tiny home stay on site! Also can't wait to try this homemade pumpkin jam!

We went to this beautiful cellar door and restaurant, tucked away at the top of the hill and enjoyed the most amazing Mediterranean grazing board, Aleppo chicken skewers and Osmeliath dessert paired with Lebanese coffee. The service was impeccable and our table overlooked the winery with glimpses of the water. The wines were surprisingly robust in flavours and we left with a few bottles! Definitely recommend this wonderful gem of a place especially if you have a large group of people wanting to share plates of food that are healthy, well portioned and is just different to the standard fare of carbs and fried foods.
